Nature Connected Experiences:
This prescriptive intervention utilizes connection to nature as a way to accelerate personal growth. Research confirms that time spent in nature improves short-term memory, reduces stress, improves sleep, strengthens the immune system, and increases positive thinking. In my practice, various nature-based experiences and adventure retreats are utilized as a way to enhance the therapeutic process and to improve long-term positive outcomes.
- Individualized Adventure Experiences- One on One 24/7 treatment with a licensed clinician to address specific behavioral and/or emotional challenges in a nature-based setting.
- Group Adventures Experiences: Group sizes range from 3-5 participants and are run by a licensed clinician and holistic healer. Treatment consists of clinical groups, individual sessions, yoga, meditation, and nature-based activities (including hiking, camping, swimming, etc).
- Cityscape Adventures: Professional and alumni events focused on the intentional practice of connecting with nature regardless of physical location. (Specific events include walking in Central Park, ice skating, kayaking on the Hudson, etc).
