Our Therapeutic Services are for everyone – from the individual to the group. We offer services of a different variety, for those who prefer nature to city living.

Individual Therapy

Our team utilizes efficacious and research based clinical modalities in both indoor and outdoor settings. 

Group Therapy

We facilitate small weekly process and psychoeducational groups that max out at 4-participants

Nature Connected Experiences

This prescriptive intervention utilizes connection to nature as a way to accelerate personal growth. Research confirms that time spent in nature improves short term memory, reduces stress, improves sleep, strengthens the immune system and increases positive thinking. In my practice, various nature based experiences and adventure retreats are utilized as a way to enhance the therapeutic process and to improve long-term positive outcomes.

Cityscape Therapy began its mission of connecting individuals with nature-connected opportunities in New York City in 2019. Events included kayaking on the Hudson River, hiking in Central Park, Ice Skating in Bryant Park, and Summiting the One World Trade Center (metaphorically)!. Since then, we have brought nature-connected events to cities in California, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Florida, Washington, Massachusetts, The District of Columbia, New York, as well as Italy and England. We continue to find that nature-connected experiences can take place anywhere in the world and that these experiences hold immense physical, mental, and emotional health benefits.. *Please keep posted for a list of upcoming events.

Involves the intentional creation of an individualized nature-connected treatment plan. This involves 24/7 work with a licensed clinician to address specific cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges in a nature based setting.

Group sizes range from 3-5 participants and are run by a licensed clinician and holistic healer. Treatment consists of clinical groups, individual sessions, yoga, meditation, and nature based activities (including hiking, camping, surfing, etc).

RECOVERY COACHING

is an adjunct service that we provide via a vetted network of CCAR certified recovery coaches. Coaches work with individuals to set and sustain personal goals and to act as a source of support. Coaches also engage in healthy behaviors and activities with clients in order to help identify, motivate, and sustain self-care activities. 

DRUG TESTING

Drug testing is used exclusively as an accountability tool. Clients are aware of the specifics of this service and are made agents in their own behavioral choices. All testing is run through a private lab, allowing precise results and specific level readings. 

YOGA/HOLISTIC TREATMENT

Yoga and mindfulness are integrated into the treatment program as a way of increasing cortical control. Clients gain awareness into their thoughts and feelings and become increasingly able to self-regulate and control their behaviors. Cityscape Therapy works with several practitioners who hold advanced certifications and who have several years of practice in the field. 

Interventions

Cityscape Therapy offers clinical interventions for both substance use challenges and mental health crises. Interventions occur only if there is a clear and ethical long-term treatment plan and if the family is willing to take an active role in the process.

Long-Term Support

Aware AI is a long-term progress monitoring platform that uses virtual client check in’s to assess personal growth, provide continuous education, and mitigate a behavioral relapse. Clients become agents of their unique journeys as they track and recognize their progress. This insight and validation serves as a protective factor that works to sustain long-term positive outcomes.

Our Approaches

Therapy comes in many facets, here is what we focus on to help our clients.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

involves the process of looking at how behaviors, thoughts, and emotions are connected. This modality has been shown to be efficacious in treating a litany of challenges, some of which include anxiety, panic, OCD, depression, and insomnia. We provide each client with the tools to be their own CBT therapist, a skillset that provides individuals with the capacity to self-regulate and to maintain their treatment gains.

Exposure Therapy

is a behavioral modality that targets a wide array of anxiety disorders, including phobias, social anxiety, and OCD. Working together, our team utilizes both in-vivo and imaginal exposure in order to increase discomfort tolerance and to improve behavioral coping.

Experiential Therapy

is a clinical approach that focuses on the consistent re-framing of our thoughts. Clients actively shift their lens from the glass being half empty to the glass being half full. This practice helps to augment discomfort tolerance and acts as a buffer against challenging times.

Positive Psychology
